Sources

Every reference returned by the nine research passes behind this guide: journal articles, guidelines, drug labels, regulatory documents and trial registrations. The small numbers throughout the guide point here.

Each research area was searched separately, so a few works appear under a merged entry. Every journal entry was checked against its PubMed, Crossref or Europe PMC record for authors, title, journal, year and identifiers; trial entries against ClinicalTrials.gov. Entries marked check could not be fully verified against the original, so treat them with extra care.

ALS Companion is an educational synthesis of the published literature on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, made for health-science students and for people living with ALS and their families.

It is not medical advice. It cannot diagnose, and nothing here should change a treatment or a care decision without your own clinical team. Doses, criteria and guideline thresholds are quoted as published. Please check the original sources, which are listed in full in the Sources module.
